February 2009 Welcome Welcome to Issue 1 of Life Magic, our quarterly newsletter. This first foray into print has been delayed by over 6 months from my initial intended start date, mainly because I needed to build up a mail list of subscribers from scratch. A critical mass has now been achieved, so thank you for subscribing. And for being patient. My intention for this newsletter is to keep you informed about what I am up to with Life Magic Healing Centre and what is going on in the world of The Journey, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and Energy Healing. This time I will focus on The Journey as this is the major focus of what I am doing right now. So what are we covering this 1st Quarter of 2009?

Enjoy An Accredited Journey Practitioner I am very pleased to advise you that I am now an Accredited Journey Practitioner. I received my certificate in January 2009. My first Journey course, the Journey Intensive, was in February 2007 and I completed the final one, The Practitioners Week, in August 2008. I then had to complete the remainder of 47 case studies, which I managed to do in mid-December. Thank you to everyone who helped me by being a case study – I really appreciate it. Here I am taking a break!
With all the experience I have had during the training period and with the case studies, this means that I am now able to swing into action as a competent Journey Practitioner. The Journey expects very high standards from its practitioners, and to stay accredited we have to attend the full Practitioners Week programme once every 3 years. This is to ensure that our standards remain high and that we are up to speed with the latest practices and developments. More about the full Journey Programme later in this newsletter.
The Life Magic Healing Centre has operated from our home since 2004, but I have always been aware that inviting people into our home was not the most professional way to run a practice, especially as we cannot set aside a particular room with access to the outside. So now that I have become a fulltime Journey Practitioner I needed to have professional premises. These I have found in the perfect place in Howick – on the corner of Moore Street and Fencible Drive – which is just one street back from Picton Street, the main street through Howick. These premises are 4 minutes from home, maximum, so I am able to be there at a moment’s notice. The Healing Centre is peaceful and private. We close the door and we have a sanctuary from the world. Here are a few pictures of the premises, both inside and out. Wouldn’t you like to come to see them for yourself?
Brandon Bays, the founder of The Journey, is currently visiting Australia and running the following Journey Intensive courses. It is well worth meeting Brandon and hearing her story firsthand. She is a tremendous presenter.
Unfortunately only Melbourne is still really practical for you due to the timing of this newsletter, but if you get in quick it is still feasible. The price is A$695, though I can get you a $100 discount off this if you speak to me before you book. On the day following each of these Journey Intensives is the Advanced Skills Workshop which is $200 extra if booked at the same time.
Brandon is also running the Manifest Abundance Retreat in Coffs Harbour on 13 – 16 March 2009. The prerequisite to this course is the Journey Intensive. This retreat is wonderful and I must admit I would sincerely love to attend again. The cost for this one is A$1,495, and once again I can get you $100 discount if you contact me. This is a residential course so all food (wonderful vegetarian/vegan) and accommodation for 3 nights is included. While I realise that I have given you very late notice of these courses, I can heartily recommend them, particularly as Brandon is running them. They are the only courses she will personally be running in Australasia in 2009.
To become a Practitioner the following courses must be attended as part of the Accredited Practitioners Programme, plus 47 case studies must be handled:
In addition to these 25 days of intensive and hands-on training and the case studies, you are encouraged to attend Grad Nights which enable you to practice your skills with other Journey students and practitioners. These are usually held monthly. One of the current venues in Auckland is our home in Howick. In addition there are other courses and get-togethers available, as well as the option to resit any of the non-residential courses at no charge. The result is that by the time a Practitioner is accredited, he or she is fully competent at conducting Journey Processes with a client. Many people do the whole Practitioner Programme, as above, just for their own personal benefit and development. They do not intend to practice, but instead experience the programme for their own healing. In fact it is tremendous seeing the wonderful changes in your fellow trainees as you meet up with them on the various stages of the programme. Personally challenging and very healing. I can recommend the programme to anyone who is interested in making radical positive changes to his or her life. Brandon Bays and her husband Kevin Billett have designed 44 inspiring Journey Cards that are “filled with profound contemplations … that invite you into a direct experience of your own enlightened awareness”. I intend to feature one in each newsletter, and this quarter I am giving you “Vigilance”. I chose this card at random from the pack of Journey Cards at 9am on 9/02/2009, the opening date of the Life Magic Healing Centre in Howick. The card is perfect for us, and reminds us of the need to be present to what is here right now. This is exactly where a Journey Practitioner's attention needs to be throughout the session with their client.
